Facility Plant Operator - Water Pollution Control

This entry-level position “foot in the door” position is for someone seeking a long-term career with stable employment and great benefits in an interesting and challenging work environment!

This position performs a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant facility. Operates pumps, valves, mechanical mixers, flow monitoring devices, chemical feed systems and takes accurate readings on equipment and records data. Performs general preventative maintenance of equipment; lubricates, adjusts and inspects various facility equipment. Performs sampling of water, wastewater, sludge and performs general grounds keeping and housekeeping tasks.

Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Related experience preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid Class C Kansas driver’s license and city insurable driving record. Please review the Insurability Guidelines

$19.48 per hour.
