The City of Topeka is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician (PMT) that develops, performs, coordinates, and documents preventative maintenance of all City owned buildings & grounds. The PMT will perform semi-skilled preventative maintenance and will work directly with staff that perform skilled preventative maintenance.
What you'll do:
- Perform preventative maintenance on Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units, refrigeration, boilers, hot and chilled water loop chemistry, plumbing and electrical systems.
- Collect equipment data and update, develop, implement and monitor preventative maintenance programs for all City owned buildings & grounds.
Minimum qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Must have related experience; three (3) years of experience in developing and coordinating preventative maintenance work is desired. Must possess or have the ability to obtain universal refrigeration license; Mechanical Journeyman's license is preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid Class C Kansas driver’s license and city-insurable driving record.
Entry rate of pay: $20.38 per hour
