Maintenance Worker II - Facility Operations/Public Works

This is an entry-level “foot in the door” position for those individuals seeking a long-term career with stable employment and great benefits in an interesting and challenging work environment. The position performs minor semi-skilled building, equipment and grounds construction, repair and maintenance tasks on a variety of city-owned assets and facilities, including basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical work. 

Minimum requirements: High school graduate or equivalent, must have at least one year of experience in semi-skilled building, mechanical, construction or grounds maintenance tasks.  Must pass KBI background check and must have and maintain a valid Kansas driver’s license and a city insurable driving record. 

$14.00 per hour plus an excellent comprehensive benefits package.
