Procurement Officer I - Contracts & Procurement

The Procurement Officer I performs specialized work in the acquisition of goods and services, including receipt and processing of requisitions, development of competitive bid specifications, determination of solicitation type, appropriate vendor sourcing, evaluation of bids, detailed justification for award, awarding bids, preparing contracts and purchase orders, contract administration and resolving disputes. Position schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Minimum qualifications: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, accounting or closely related field OR an Associate’s Degree in Purchasing with at least one (1) year experience in governmental purchasing. Preference given to persons degreed as stated with National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) CPPB or CPPO certification; or National Association of Purchasing Managers/Institute of Supply Management CPM certification. Previous experience in customer service within the general business community preferred, but not required.

$18.87 per hour.
